1. In March 2008 the original Atiu Nui Marurua III building was demolished to give way for the new Building.
2. In September the 6th 2008 the foundation of the building was laid.
3. There were 10 builders employed at the time under the leadership of Moeroa Metuangaro
4. At the end of 2009 the project was suspended due to financial difficulties.
5. In 2010 the project continue on voluntary basis under the leadership of Tangata Paiki KAE, he has nine (9) prominent volunteers and now and then the numbers goes to 12 members even 4 at times on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
6. In 2010 the Atiu Community here on Rarotonga borrowed one hundred thousand dollars New Zealand ($100,000.00) from the Atiu Community in Sydney Australia on loan basis to be paid back after the project is opened.
7. In 2011 the Atiu Pine Apple association fund of One hundred and ninety six thousand dollars ($196,000.00) was released by the court to assist the project.
8. In 2012 the Atiu Community monster raffle was drawn and we received $200,000.00
9. Since 2010 the community been fundraising on small scale such as catering, selling plate of foods and Atiu Day.
10. All equipments used on the projects are private owned.
11. The project manager Tangata Kae are cutting cost on the project by means of voluntary driven and spend the amount of money received on building materials.
